This year’s Disabled Poets Prize is open to deaf and disabled poets from the UK, and includes a Best poem performed in BSL category, judged by UK BSL Poet Laureate Kabir Kapoor. You can enter the Prize here until Monday 31 October 2023.

Kabir Kapoor shares info about a free BSL workshop he’s leading on Saturday 23 September.

As part of the Disabled Poets Prize 2024, the UK’s first BSL Poet Laureate Kabir Kapoor hosted a relaxed and welcoming workshop for Deaf BSL users experimenting with creating visual poetry in BSL.

In this safe, supportive and playful space, Kabir led exercises on creating visual poems, exploring the beautiful language of BSL and learning skills in performing work and filming performance.
